How to Fix No Option for Forgot Screen Time Passcode
Do you want to use an Apple app which is limited by Screen Time? If yes, the first thing you can do is to turn off Screen Time passcode. What if you forgot the passcode? Part 1: Why Is There No Forgot Passcode Option in Screen Time
The main reasons why there is no Forgot Screen Time Passcode option are that your device has some software bugs or glitches (install an old iOS version), you sign in with a different Apple ID that is not used to set up Screen Time passcode or only other family members can control it for they create the passcode via Family Sharing.
Part 2: How to Make “Forgot Screen Time Passcode” Appear
First, you need to update the system to the latest version. And then ensure you have logged into an Apple ID on your iPhone or it is the same as that one used to unlock Screen Time.
Solution 1: Update the iOS Version in Settings
Open Settings > Choose General > Select Software Update > Click Download and Install if the update is available.
Solution 2: Sign Into the Same Apple ID
Launch Settings > Tap on the Apple ID name > Scroll down to the bottom > Click the Sign Out button > Enter the password > Sign in with your previous Apple ID.
Part 3: How to Fix No Option to Change Screen Time Passcode
If the above-mentioned methods can’t resolve the “no option for Forgot Passcode” issue, you can directly change the passcode on your parent’s device or use some software to remove Screen Time without passcode.
Solution 1: Change Screen Time Passcode on the Organizer’s Device
Step 1: Launch Settings on the parent’s iPhone > Hit Screen Time.
Step 2: Find the child’s device name. Then click Change Screen Time Passcode and tap on it again. Maybe you are required to verify your identity by using the device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.
Step 3: Set a new Screen Time passcode and confirm it.
Solution 2: Use iPhone Passcode Tuner to Remove Screen Time Passcode
Step 1: Download and install Cocosenor iPhone Passcode Tuner on your computer. Then launch the program and choose Remove Screen Time Passcode.
Step 2: Connect the iPhone to the PC via a USB cable. If the computer isn’t a trusted device, tap on Trust and enter the screen passcode.
Step 3: Ensure you have disabled Find My iPhone (check it by going to Settings > Apple ID name > Find My).
Step 4: Click the Start button. It will remove Screen Time passcode quickly and cause no data loss.
Solution 3: Erase iPhone via iTunes or iCloud
If there is no important data on the iPhone or you have already backed it up, you can erase all the content using iTunes or iCloud.
iTunes: Open iTunes on a computer > Connect the iPhone > Tap on the small iPhone icon (under the top menu) > Choose Summary on the sidebar > Click Restore iPhone.
iCloud: Go to the iCloud website > Sign in with your Apple ID > Hit Find My > Click Under All Devices > Choose the device > Tap on Erase This Device.
