Method 1: Disconnect Two iPhones in Settings

It’s fairly easy to unlink two iPhones with the same Apple ID in Settings. Once you have an Apple ID on the iPhone, the trusted devices list will appear under the Apple ID profile. Just remove it by clicking the device.

On iPhone or iPad:

Step 1: Open Settings and then click the Apple ID name.

Step 2: Scroll down to find the trusted devices list. After that, tap on the device name.

Step 3: Click the Remove from Account button and hit Remove to confirm.

Step 4: After that, you can create a new Apple ID on another iOS device and sign in with it.

On Mac:

Step 1: Click the Apple menu > Choose System Preferences.

Step 2: Tap on the Apple ID name. Then select the iPhone device from the trusted devices list.

Step 3: Click Remove from Account and hit the Remove button again. Next, this device linked to your Apple ID can be removed.

Method 2: Open iCloud to Unlink Two iPhones

With the exception of the Settings app, Apple’s iCloud website can also help you remove this Apple ID account from other iOS devices only if you know its password.

Step 1: Go to the official iCloud website. Sign in with your Apple ID account.

Step 2: Find the Find My option and enter the Apple ID password.

Step 3: Under All Devices, choose the unknown or unused device. Then click Remove This Device.

Method 3: Remove Another Device via iTunes

Do you want to receive an Apple ID verification code on only one iPhone? If yes, use iTunes to disconnect two or more iPhones with the same Apple ID.

Step 1: Open iTunes on your computer and sign in with Apple ID credentials.

Step 2: Click the Account option on the top menu > Select View My Account > Hit Manage Devices.

Step 3: From the devices list, tap on the Remove button next to the iPhone name. After that, click Done.

Method 4: Unlink Two iPhones in Find My iPhone

If you have used the Find My app installed on the iPhone, you can find all the iPhone devices you don’t want to link to. So, try to remove the device here.

Step 1: Open Find My and click the Devices option at the bottom.

Step 2: Select the iPhone and tap on Remove This Device. Continue to choose Remove and enter the Apple ID password.

Method 5: Remove Apple ID Without Password
